Lucas Bravo, a French model and actor, gained widespread recognition for his role as Chef Gabriel, Emily’s downstairs neighbor and former flame, in the Netflix romantic comedy series Emily in Paris (2020-present).
Born on March 26, 1988, in Decent, Alpes-Maritimes, Bravo is the son of Daniel Bravo, a retired French footballer, and Eva Bravo, a singer. He attended Lycée Pasteur in Neuilly-sur-Seine.
Bravo made his on-screen debut in Sous le soleil de Saint Tropez (2013). The following year, he portrayed Antoine Mufla in Kim Chapiron’s French comedy-drama film La Crème de la crème, showcasing his versatility in both comedy and drama. Since 2020, he has captivated audiences as Chef Gabriel, Emily’s neighbor and former lover, in the Netflix romantic comedy Emily in Paris, co-starring Lily Collins.
Bravo appeared in “Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris” alongside Lesley Manville, Isabelle Huppert, and Jason Isaacs. Directed by Anthony Fabian, the film is based on Paul Gallico’s short story of the same name.
In August, it was announced that both he and Maria Bakalova would star in Dean Craig’s upcoming film “The Honeymoon.” Later in October, Bravo was cast in Old Parker’s romantic comedy “Pass to Heaven,” featuring George Clooney, Julia Roberts, and Kaitlyn Dever.
Beyond his acting career, Bravo is a professional model affiliated with the Paris-based Viva agency.
Addressing rumors about his sexual orientation, it is clarified that Lucas Bravo is not gay, and his sexual orientation is straight. Despite speculation, there is no concrete evidence supporting claims about his dating life, making it unclear whether he is gay or straight. Bravo himself has not entertained the idea of being gay or dating a man.
Reports suggesting he is gay are deemed false, and his relationship status remains undisclosed. Lucas has expressed his desire for a partner who would wake him up with gentle, affectionate kisses and other pleasant gestures.
As of 2022, there is no indication that Lucas Bravo is currently dating anyone.
In 2020, he shared with Excitement that he was not in a relationship and described his ideal romantic connection as “cuddly, tender, just a sweet wake-up.”
In a modest manner, he acknowledged the possibility of dating fans, stating, “I don’t really have fans, so I don’t know,” to the magazine.
It’s safe to say, along with nearly a million others, that this statement is quite misleading, but one can appreciate his humility.
